Midnight Sunlight
If you love mid-century lighting and furniture, this store is for YOU. They have amazing light fixtures (I’ve bought a few), but so many other pieces too. I can say firsthand that the prices are pretty affordable and the customer service is top-notch. If you buy a light fixture, they’ll make any adjustments that you need, like shortening the cord or switching the wiring from hardwired to plug-in.
Introduce a warm, rustic accent to your living space with the Director floor lamp. Angular tripod legs in a natural wood finish lead up to an off-white textured drum shade. Their selection of furniture isn’t the largest, but they’re still a great spot for smaller decor finds.

FYI, they recently moved from SE Portland to a new spot in the NW. This Portland home decor store is truly beautiful, it’s fun to browse through even if you can’t afford to buy anything. Their furniture is especially incredible, with incredibly unique pieces from top designers. A huge 20,000 squate-foot store dedicated to modern furniture and home decor, you can’t go wrong here if you’re a modern decor fan.
The couple's distinct style carries over into their nearby home, which they rent on Airbnb. Expect a satisfying mix of richly textured carpets and streamlined modern furniture, with no shortage of charm, in both. Urbanite sells everything from antique pieces to the trendiest new items, with a variety of fun whole-room displays to check out. A go-to for the perfect hostess gift, this Bellevue shop offers an assortment of fine foods and wines as well as tablewares and accessories. Pick up one of each to ensure a repeat invite to any occasion. This store is especially unique because they curate the best finds from vendors and merchants worldwide.
They have tons of cute home decor products, plus a lot of smaller stuff that makes for great gifts. It’s definitely one of my go-to local stores when I need a present for somebody (I love that they offer free in-store pickup). They offer shopping through their website and I recommend following their Instagram for updates on products and sales. I’ve found art, lighting, chairs, and more here that is currently in my home. Like Urbanite, this store is really meant for in-person visits but they do have an Instagram. This shop’s got mid-century furniture, lighting, art, accessories, and more. I’ve personally bought several items from here, including a siiiiiick mushroom lamp that I got myself for my birthday. The owner constantly rotates the inventory, so it’s worth checking back often to find the latest gems.
Design icons including Saarinen, Schultz, and Svensson share floor space at this modernist haven in Portland. The industrial loft spans 20,000 square feet, and its team, headed by Spencer Staley, who founded the store in 2006, carries out restoration and custom design work. Michele and Ryan Tansey's shop in the Capitol Hill district of Seattle is an airy, finely curated display of vintage rugs and furnishings.
